Chiefly letters to Brown as author of the pamphlet The family of Silas Silverthorne, which argued against free silver, and requests for copies of the pamphlet (1896); together with material relating to Brown's employment with United Railroads of San Francisco (URSF), including typewritten drafts of two booklets dealing with URSF's labor problems, and copies of letters to George C. Perkings and Tirey L. Ford. Includes a small amount of clippings and ephemera, including a silk playbill.
